Browsing this month´s National Geographic I came across this website, which allows you to find out where your surname occurs most. A fascinating insight into people movement. Not surprisingly my surname, Mol, occurs mostly in Europe - but what I had not expected that, apart from the Netherlands, the name is highly frequent in... Poland! Poland? Try it for your name, it´s fun! Josephs may find that their name occurs with the highest frequency in ... India! (as well as being used a lot in Wales, the US and Canada) And Witsels should seek for their namesakes especially n Holland, Hessen (Germany) and the French-speaking part of Belgium, Wallone.
