Sarzedo

My love found this wonderful visual collage of the village of Sarzedo, Portugal, where The House is. No further words needed. Enjoy...

Beach ... Ball ... Bonanza!

The Adventures of Daleedlephuppie don't need many words, nor verbosity or eloquence. Ball, dammit, ball. Combined with beach, a veritable bonanza!

Update

After a few weeks of taking care of lame horses (both Emu and Duchess, on account of the insistent bad and wet weather had hoof abscesses which needed daily care in the form of foot baths, three times a day, with salts; vet care a few times; and lots of cuddles, TLC and yummy food), we have finally got to ride with new saddles on!

I was about to complain to Emu, with Richard III (yes, he of car park renown): A horse! a horse! my kingdom for a horse! (Act 5, Scene 4)

Alarums. Enter KING RICHARD III

KING RICHARD III
A horse! a horse! my kingdom for a horse!
CATESBY
Withdraw, my lord; I'll help you to a horse.
KING RICHARD III
Slave, I have set my life upon a cast,
And I will stand the hazard of the die:
I think there be six Richmonds in the field;
Five have I slain to-day instead of him.
A horse! a horse! my kingdom for a horse!
Exeunt

but then not Catesby but Emu himself came to the rescue and got better. The result:

And the saddle ... wow! The new Bates all Australian leather stock saddle rides like a throne ... well for all it's set me back it might as well be a throne... but absolutely worth it, very comfortable, a much better fit than my previous one (which wasn't mine, but on loan for the past ten years....). I do notice how much I relied on the support of the previous saddle, though, which was in fact a tad too small for me and nicely and kindly wedged me into itself ... lending security and balance. This new one suits my posterior much better but also requires me to balance better. All good, and here's to many gorgeous rides!
