Beret

OK, so Ton asks us to buy a Beret. Not wanting to be a nitpick the only requirements are (1) size, (2) colour, (3) circumferential flexibility, (4) material, (5) design and (6) look. Easy. Easy?

Did you know that there are only two shops in Lisbon that (sort of) specialise in head wear, and only one of them was open on a Saturday afternoon? One has the lordly name of ´Lords´; the other looks lordly and from a previous century... From the photos you can see that they are not ´just any other shop´ ... I will write to Ton about the choices in an email.

We spent leisurely time in Lisbon yesterday, enjoying the sun and city life. This morning, Sunday, we drove to Sintra to enjoy the beach - where, strangely perhaps, the sun disappeared the moment we arrived, to be replaced with an eery mist coming in from the ocean. The waves were too high, wild and unpredictable to allow for real swimming but I got myself wet anyway, before being dunked back onto the sand, much to Niki´s concern who already saw me being swept away to whatever country is on the other side of the ocean (Brazil?).

Hot, blue-skied and dry days here in Portugal.
