Searching for beautiful French and Dutch music to show my love about some of the music I have, over the years, come to adore and appreciate, I came across this magnificent video of Jacques Brel singing Ne me quite pas. I saw it years ago and it made a huge impression on me. I´ve always felt strongly that songs and poetry require the talent to act and ´live the song´on the part of the performer - and this is just one of the most exquisite examples of that art. The range of emotions shown in just the repeated line ´Ne me quite pas´ is mind-boggling. It´s a pity it ends a bit too abruptly, but the nice thing is that it has an English translation running alongside. Beautiful!
