Today was spent racing (well, ok, pootling) around Lisbon for some (regular check-uppy kind of) hospital visits for Niki (one of which was, it´s true, at 15:36 --- not 15:45, or 15:50, no ... 15:36). (Hospital IT systems hey... Can you imagine the conversations: ´No, sorry. You are one minute late.... - No, I´m not. I´m 30 seconds early!) ). So this meant, amongst other things, writing on a pavement cafe ´terrasje´in the sun (admittedly, not the worst place to practice the creative arts) in a not un-nice part of Lisbon where there were gardens, trees, quiet backstreets and yellow houses. All was well, apart from the fact that the 15:36 appointment proved to be at 17:36 so has now been rescheduled for an equally ridiculous time next week. When do you think the doctor will knock off: at 17:53, or at 18:00...?
