Gaudi

And here are some more pictures of the Park Guel, a 15-hectare area in a posh area of Lisbon that Gaudi had the privilege to design for one of the time´s big industrialists. The Park never became a commercial success and the vision had to be abandoned - Barcelona council took it over, and it is now one of their major tourist attractions.

  1. Amazing, incredible architecture: liquid shapes, almost! ... But very crowded with people, I see ... Was it like that everywhere?
I think I would tend to associate a park with tranquility and I'm not sure this place was tranquil. Mind you, if they're trying to turn the place into a successful tourist attraction, tranquility would seem to be at odds with the desired outcome ...
    Anyway, it was very interesting.
