Anjès has been very active, trying to find work and courses to do. She´s singled out various short Patisserie courses to do around here, and in Melbourne when she visits Toby. Also, she was offered (and she accepted after a trial) a job (probably 15-24 hours or so per week) as a waitress (customer service attendant...) in two establishments in Ballina (La Cocina de Vino and Pelican 101). She doesn´t want to make a career out of this kind of work, but is willing to give it a fair go to earn some money and gain experience. What she has found at least as interesting is that she has been offered an apprenticeship / work experience placement with the Patisserie chef at the Eltham Hotel: every Tuesday she´ll go there to assist the Patisserie Chef prepare cakes, deserts and other sweet things! And just now, Wednesday evening, she came home having passed the RSA certificate (Responsible Service of Alcohol) - this is a one-day course giving her a 5-year certificate that people who work in hospitality / catering have to have. She´s on a roll!
