It´s all right for some...

My love this morning went out on her own to catch Duchess, carrying saddle and bridle, brushes and blanket ... only to see Duchess turn on her heels as soon as she realized A Ride was in the offing... So up the hill Niki went again to get some carrots from the fridge to lure Duchess into submission: and it worked, as Duchess - who had in the meantime trudged up the hill again to see What Was Going On - traipsed down the hill again to the promising smell of The Orange Vegetable. After this it was Child´s Play, really, and Niki enjoyed an hour of working the horse, riding and trotting in the paddock, gaining confidence in Doing This All By Herself and thoroughly relishing the experience.
