Don´t you just adore the way pumpkins seem to pop up from nowhere, modestly, and then quietly but decidedly make their way through your gardens, around objects, through shrubs, up trees, in a very pretty, attractive, quiet, almost tender way, too. It´s a thing of beauty that slowly grows, develops and produces long-lasting fruit, beautiful to look at, to hold, to show, and yes, to eat. Because it grows everywhere, it´s difficult to say where the vine begins and where it ends ... it doesn´t seem to end at all ... the beginning is the end is the beginning... Never thought I´d want to compare a pumpkin vine with a relationship that develops, flowers, and grows, but there is something to be said for it, don´t you think?
