As you may remember, about a year ago Niki and I completed the second level of our language course Magic Adventure, for Slovenian publishers Rokus-Klett. Because of changes in government policy the project was 'paused', which meant that a last, third, level was not to be developed. The course targeted 6-9 year-olds: in Slovenia, schools would be starting with English at age 6 in 2011, until the government changed and the introduction of English in the first three years of primary school was stalled. Usually, in publishing land this means that the course dies a slow death, as it is not complete and schools won't buy it. However, this morning we got happy tidings announcing that the green light had been given for the writing and publishing of Magic Adventure 3! The situation has changed, and schools will now start in 2013-14 to teach English to the target group. So now, in the new situation, we will be in the market early with a complete course. Nice to get this kind of news!
