My birthday

I know ... I know ... More than a month has gone by since my last post and I (once again) apologise to my avid readers Over Yonder. Life has just taken hold of everyone here, and seems to make days pass as if they are only minutes. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean that the blog suffers from ADS (attention deficit syndrome).

Anyway, last week was my birthday (51) and my request had been to do, erm, 'nothing planned'. Unusual for my love, who is a great 'list-maker' and planner; however, at the end of the birthday we realized we'd had a lovely day full of 'being' rather than 'doing' and that was great.

We started off with a scrumptious breakfast at Harvest in Newrybar, and lounged there for a while, enjoying chats with people out and about for the same purpose. Arrived home mid-morning, we spent the rest of the day pottering around the garden (the sun was out, it was lovely weather; we mulched, planted some roses and other plants and just 'mucked about', as it were.

Thanks to Peter and Ann and Jane for their birthday cards from the UK, and many others for their facebook, text and email messages.
