Sam (as in equine)

On our recent trip to the Blue (and somewhat charred) Mountains, and Katoomba, via all sorts of beautiful roads, and through national parks (including a bit of muddy almost-four-wheel-driving), my love and I also happened to pass Port Macquarie, which is the town where my horse Samson was sold to. By asking friendly peasants, we found out where the stables he went to were, and 'rocked up' to meet a lovely lady called Jennifer, who told us Sam was no longer there (as he was a bit too stubborn for a general riding school) but that now she and her husband owned it. Judging from some of the photos Jennifer sent me afterwards, Sam aka Big Boy seems to be having a great time in his new abode. He loves the beach, he runs up for a feed as soon as he thinks there is one in the offing, and he's even getting the opportunity to do some jumping (he used to be a show jumper of sorts). I sort of feel sad to have let him go, but I wasn't riding him, and now he seems to be a lot happier and well-cared for.
