On 2 November we drove to the Eltham pub for the afternoon to watch the Melbourne Cup, the annual horse race, and join in the sweepstakes. Ellen en Ton joined us there for a spot of lunch and a drink. It was quite exciting to experience the race like that, sharing the joy of the equine effort with others.
