The Rembrandtplein looks particularly festive at the moment. Unfortunately the statues of figures from Rembrandt´s Nachtwacht that peopled the square, under the benign and benevolent eye of the Master himself, and which were a great hit with both locals and tourists have gone, but I believe they´re coming back - it´ll make the whole place look a lot less garish...
